Earlier this month I was invited to a blogger event.

And what a cool event it was. I was a little nervous; after all, it was full of fabulous fashion bloggers and I don't exactly fall into that category. But I'm so glad I went to get a sneak peek of the new Ross Dress for Less store in Blue Springs. I'd never even heard of Ross before (blush) but now that I've been able to shop there I really hope they venture over the state line and set up shop closer to home.

It was a lovely morning, full of breakfast at The Big Biscuit and good ol' girl talk. The executives from Ross couldn't have been more gracious, and I enjoyed hearing about their business model and why they do what they do.

And–hello–they let us shop!

I honestly didn't think that their $50.00 gift card, which they gifted each blogger in attendance, would go far. I was so wrong! I had such a good time looking through cute dresses, cozy sweaters, hot shoes, fun accessories and must-have kitchen gear. I finally settled on a pair of boots; I've needed a pair for so long but just couldn't find anything I liked until my trip to Ross. Not only were they less than half price (retail $210, but I paid $89!) but they're so comfy I wore them ALL day apple picking and still had happy feet when I got home.

I also picked up a gorgeous sweater, a sparkly pair of earrings and two adorable cupcake mugs for Erin and I to use when we resume our sadly neglected Cupcake Sunday tradition

Even better? The fine folks at Ross Dress for Less are going to send one lucky BacktoAllen reader a $25.00 gift card of their very own!
