* Adam’s advice to Nicholas this weekend: “Nicholas, why do you argue with Mommy? That’s kind of like arguing with a ref in a game–it won’t win you any points and it will just annoy everyone”. Smart boy :)

* Adam’s stitches are out but he’s still gimping around like he can’t walk. He’s afraid he’ll pop it open again :(

* Had very interesting meetings at school for the boys last week. Adam’s been invited to the Gifted (Qwest) Program. They tested his math skills and he tested higher than the average 19 year old. And his IQ–way up there. Now if I could just get him to brush his teeth, he’d be perfect.

* Nicholas’ parent teacher conference went equally well. He got almost all E’s (after the teacher said “I don’t like to hand out many E’s…..”) and he tested at 100% on his Math assessments. I seriously don’t know where they got their math brains, but I’m glad they have them.

* Nicholas is a total girl magnet–they run up and hug him at the end of the day. Boy, am I in trouble when he decides it’s ok to like that.

* I love the turn of the weather and the crisp bite in the wind today. The rain I could do without, but if it’s a package deal I won’t complain.

* New beginnings are just around the corner. I know this is a good thing…..I just wish I could convince everyone to see it the same way. But I can’t — and learning that is part of my own journey.
