Welcome to the June 2012 edition of the One Little Word Blog Hop. If you're new to the hop, please scroll to the bottom of this post for more info and a complete list of participants. If you're going in order, you've clicked through from Naomi's blog, and your next stop is Veronica.
We're done with June. If that's not a reality slap, I'm not sure what is. I've been stating the obvious all year–that it's flying by–so I guess maybe that's why June decided to show me just how fast it could move. I honestly feel like it was just yesterday that I was posting my May entry for our blog hop. Then I blinked, and here we are.
June has been packed with so many things. Birthdays for two kids, work, opportunities, color, dates, more dates, Royals games and so much planning. With all of that whirling around, this prompt was a nice departure. I loved doing it last year; getting my fingers all mucked up with paint and ink is always a welcome exercise for me. When I compare the two pages I'm struck by how much color I've allowed in this year. I thought of a post quite a while back, when I talked about needing more color and less beige in my life, and I smile because June has been overflowing with color.
And there's more to come, because if there's anything I'm learning about color it's that when I welcome some, more follows.
*note–the colors are actually quite a bit brighter than they scanned*
Thanks for stopping by this month! Be sure to visit Veronica next, and to hop on through the entire list. Our list dwindles during the year, but their stories are all so interesting to follow, and I'm grateful they share them with us. A big thanks, as always, to Margie for taking the time to put this all together. You keep me accountable to my word, and I'm grateful for that.
One Little Word is an online class at Big Picture Scrapbooking, lead by Ali Edwards. Through a series of monthly prompts, Ali encourages us to let one single word guide our year. My 2012 word is invest, and you can read about my 2011 and 2012 One Little Word thoughts here.
