This story makes me sad and angry:

Flag Memorial Vandalized

Why can’t people realize that even if they disagree with the administration, the philosophy of war, the money that it takes away from other causes, or the multitude of other “issues” that idiots cite when they do something like this, that they can only express those views because a soldier was brave enough to lay down his/her life to protect us? That without these soldiers there is no telling what kind of a world we would live in. That each of those soldiers is a person with families they leave to protect us and lives that sometimes are cut short in their efforts to make this land a better place? Why can’t people look past all their stupid excuses and see the PERSON those flags represent, and take a moment to utter–even silently–a prayer of thanks.
