I love Gary Larson

It’s an oldie but it makes me laugh every time I see it.

I Procrastinate

To a fault. Always have–probably always will. I’m always waiting for things to be “right” before I start a big new project, I think that once I have everything “just so” I can move on and really live life. So not true!! Of course, I’ve KNOWN this for a long time but I don’t practice [...]

I Miss Him

I dont’ know why, but I’ve been dreaming about him lately. It’s been 28 years since he’s gone, and still, I feel the void. Though, I know, he’s always around, pushing me along. Just wish I could still see him with my eyes open.

Dreaming Big

All those self-help gurus, they tell me to think and dream big. And to put those goals out there so the universe can help me with them. Sounds very zen and optimistic to me, but fun nonetheless. So I’m putting this out there. When I first started my gift business, it was because I was [...]

Today I am

grateful for: *AAA*rainstorms*good friends who shuttle my kids around AND bring me yummy goodies *caffeine*the health of my kids…..I often take for granted that they are blessed with good health, so when they get sick I am reminded that for the most part we are very, very lucky*fuzzy blankets*cool evenings*coffee….did I mention that yet?? Happy [...]

500

I am blessed to have clients that have been with me for years, and who trust me to create unique, fun things for the special celebrations they treasure. When Jim Thome hit his 400th career homerun a few years ago, they requested a basket with 400 packages of beef jerky. So I was pleasantly surprised [...]

Busy weekend

Nothing very exciting, but a busy weekend. Finished up 3 circle journals: Finished the jerky basket–picture to come later. Cleaned the house, shopped for groceries–you know, all the fun mommy stuff. And Erin is not feeling good so I’ll be staying home with her tomorrow. NOt that I’m happy she’s sick, but I’ll be happy [...]

So true!

Just got this in an email, and I think it might be my new favorite (no one can tell I like quotes, huh?;) “Happiness is not in the mere possession of money; it lies in the joy of achievement, in the thrill of creative effort.”– Franklin D. Roosevelt,

10 years

A powerful quote from the great and powerful Oprah: “As you become more clear about who you really are, you’ll be better able to decide what is best for you – the first time around.” I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately……Looking back at the me I was 10 years ago, it’s almost hard [...]

How ironic

That AFTER I get a full time job and scale back my business, I’m named one of the top 100 gift basket companies in the country?!?! Go figure
